See the Fall Colors at Longwood Gardens 

Check out the beautiful changing foliage at Longwood Gardens! October 2nd through November 14, you can stroll through the picturesque Meadow Garden and find fun for the whole family in the whimsical Garden Railway and Pumpkin Playground.

Head of The Schuylkill Regatta

This October 30-31st tens of thousands of visitors will line the 2.5 mile course in beautiful Fairmount Park to cheer competitors, enjoy the activity of the Three Angels Statues Festival Area, and take in the history and view of Boathouse Row. It’s been called “The best head race in the world. Period.”  Be part of the legendary tradition of Philadelphia rowing and the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta! 

Eastern State Penitentiary 

The Penitentiary is putting a twist on its long-running Halloween programming. Now called Halloween Nights, the festival-style event features 15 attractions of the spooky and non-spooky variety, with plenty of good food and drink thrown in for good measure.

Delaware River Trail

For outdoor enthusiasts, the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation debuts the central portion of its Delaware River Trail, providing a protected lane for exercisers and non-car commuters on the east side of Columbus Boulevard between Washington Avenue and Spring Garden Street.
