Dockside_97.5TheFanatic_Joe DeCamaraWe love our Dockside residents! There are so many unique personalities and interesting people living here, you just never know who you’re going to bump into. Our Philadelphia condos for sale offer spacious floor plans and luxury amenities  drawing in some great people into our lovely community. Take Joe DeCamara, for example.

Who is Joe DeCamara?

Joe DeCamara is a well-known sports talk radio host whose show was tied for Philadelphia’s number one most-listened to radio program in its timeslot this past October. Joe can be heard every weeknight at 6:00 on 97.5-FM The Fanatic in Philadelphia, with special guest hosts including former Eagles great Ron Jaworski on Wednesday nights and ESPN’s Adam Caplan on Fridays. He also hosts the Fanatic’s Pre-Game Show prior to all Eagles games, along with Jeremiah Trotter and Michael Bradley, and has previously hosted the 76ers Pre-Game Show. Joe has broadcast shows in Philadelphia for over ten years and has interviewed some of the city’s most notable sports figures including Brian Dawkins, Ryan Howard, Donovan McNabb, Cole Hamels, Claude Giroux, and the late, great Joe Frazier. He has also hosted a variety of shows for national ESPN Radio with coverage in all 50 states.

Why move to The Residences at Dockside?

A couple of years ago, with his professional career taking off, Joe started to feel like it was time to step up his lifestyle, as well. That’s when he made a positive lifestyle change by moving here to Dockside.

Dockside is the Real Deal

“I was looking for a new apartment and it just felt like the right time in my life to go for something nice,” Joe said. “I knew about Dockside through my good buddy, Darren Daulton. Dutch lived here for a few years and knowing how much he enjoyed it, that made me want to check it out. I vividly remember when I texted Dutch one day to inquire about Dockside, to really get the inside scoop, and his response said it all. He said, ‘It’s the real deal!’”

Blown Away by The Luxury Condos

For Joe, who used to host a radio show with the legendary Phillies catcher, having Daulton’s stamp of approval was enough for him to make an appointment to visit Dockside. He recalls his first impression being a memorable one.

“I was blown away with how nice it is!” Joe said. “I was really intrigued from the moment I walked in. I had looked around a lot in the city, probably upwards of ten to twelve places this time, plus others I had seen in the past. This was hands down the best I had seen. The location is fantastic, the amenities are tremendous, the views are phenomenal, and the condos are beautiful. It was just the right fit at the right time for me, with regard to my life – what I wanted to do and where I wanted to be. I was ready for a certain level of comfort – and I found it here at Dockside.”

Stellar Philadelphia Location

Joe found the building’s location to be one of its best features. “I love the proximity,” he commented. “I work in Bala Cynwyd and it’s the easiest thing for me to get on 95 or 676. I can cut across the city in just a couple of minutes. We have fantastic access to the stadiums, either down Columbus Avenue or on 95. I can easily hop on 95 North to go visit family or to go to New York. And I love being so close to Penn’s Landing, with the whole river component, the festivals and everything. There are so many things at our disposal, living here. I walked from Dockside to South Street and I actually timed it – it took five minutes! It’s probably a ten-minute walk to Old City. And as an American, I get a real thrill out of the historic elements of Philadelphia and Independence Hall. When I have friends come to visit, it’s all right there!”

Friendly Residents in Great Community

Joe moved into Dockside in February 2013 and has been thoroughly impressed with everything about the building, including the people.

“The residents are all very friendly,” Joe said. “There are a number of people from the Philly sports community here that I know. And I’m very close with the guys at the front desk. Those guys are great – they do such a fantastic job and they’re a major part of my enjoyment at Dockside. Everyone has just been so good to work with. Right from the first time I walked in or even spoke to Luke and Noreen on the phone, I could just tell it was an incredibly professional office with quality people who care about Dockside and are looking out for the best interests of residents and prospective residents. I was thoroughly impressed with how professional and courteous and helpful they’ve been with everything. The whole experience has been extremely impressive. It felt really right from my first visit.”
