As most people know, The Residences at Dockside is a very pet-friendly building – so we were excited to learn about the new Penn’s Landing dog park that opened this summer – and so were many of our pet-owning residents. This new fenced-in park for pups is located between Delaware Avenue and the river at Market Street, and features a grove of mature trees, benches for the humans, great views of the river, and a water station for the dogs.

There is fencing that divides the park into separate areas, for runs, and for large dogs and smaller ones. Of course, bags and a waste disposal station are provided. The new park was paid for by the Central Delaware Waterfront Corporation, which manages Penn’s Landing and other city-owned land along the river and is overseeing the implementation of the city’s long-range plan for redevelopment of the Central Delaware.

Next time you’re ready to take your dog for a walk, why not treat her or him to some fun time, leash-free, in the this great new dog park? It’s guaranteed to get their tails wagging… and with the park being so close to Dockside, it’s one more reason why living here is so convenient.
