Here’s a great event happening this weekend, just a short walk from Dockside at Penn’s Landing. Tomorrow (Saturday, January 18) from 12–2 pm, it’s a “Salute to First Responders” at the Blue Cross RiverRink.

This special event is to thank all those who work to ensure the safety of the public. We can’t think of a better group of people to salute! And from 11am–4:30pm, all first responders (Fire, Police, Military, Coast Guard, Homeland Security, Paramedics, American Red Cross Staff & Volunteers, and more) will receive free admission to the skating rink, along with up to 3 other people per ID card.

Come join the skaters and first responders and check out displays and interactive programs from the Philadelphia Marine Unit, Philadelphia Bomb Squad, Philadelphia SWAT, Philadelphia Fire Department, American Red Cross and more.
