Dockside residents: interested in a unique, eye-opening and entertaining event for this weekend? Check out the Southeast Asian Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, August 11th from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 pm. The Festival focuses on understanding and appreciating the rich cultural heritage of the people of Southeast Asia, and celebrates the tradition of Dragon Boat Racing, bringing the ancient sport to a modern world. The free Festival, part of the 2012 PECO Multicultural Series at Penn’s Landing, will take place on the RiverStage at Penn’s Landing, located on Columbus Boulevard at Chestnut Street and the Penn’s Landing Marina, located on Columbus Boulevard between Walnut and Dock Streets along the Delaware River.
